First of all. Scientia has hats! I couldn’t be happier with the way they turned out. Hats are a 5 panel style, 100% cotton, and made in the USA! I’ve got black and navy (shown below). Price is $30 per hat with shipping within the contiguous US included at no charge. Let me know if you’re interested in one by emailing me at scientiaclimbing@gmail.com and we’ll make it happen.
In other news, Ethan and I escaped up to Holcomb Valley to rope-dog it some with friends this weekend in an effort to beat the heat everywhere else. We eventually found the upper parking lot and the climbing in the labyrinth of 4wd trails after nearly turning around 50 feet from the parking area. We had a good time and the routes weren’t long enough to completely pump me out which was great. I’ll definitely be returning to sport climb as well as explore the area as it looks to have tons of bouldering potential.

And I also made it out Black Mountain to get a little bit of bouldering in prior to meeting Andy up in Squamish for little while. Didn’t do anything super hard but what we did do was great. Once Upon a Time was definitely the highlight of the day. Great climbing in a unbelievable setting. Now I’m just waiting for this week to end prior to leaving for Squamish. Yet again I feel like I’m under trained for an upcoming trip but it will be fun regardless. I’m looking forward to getting on some highballs and slabs! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the weather behaves for at least half the time I’m out there..
hats look sick. you best be bring me up one of them blues ones.
