Ethan came out to flagstaff last wednesday to climb for a week or so. Pretty much everyday we have been climbing since. Thursday we went to the grasshopper wall where I showed him all the hard classics. He quickly went to work sending berlin and viva la revolucion. I did jasons problem and tokyo rose again for a video we will be putting together of his stay here. The next day was pretty cold and I took him to Mars roof at the Draw and gave him the beta spray down on the receptionist. He was able to do it in two parts and hopefully he can send it the next day on it.

Saturday we took a bit of a milder day and went trad climbing at the waterfall. Suzu was able to join us too since she didn’t have work or school. After the 45 minute hike uphill we rested and I warmed up by leading Black and Tan a classic 5.10 corner crack. Ethan got to try his hand at crack climbing the first time and it was pretty cool to see. I thought it was especially funny how scared Suzu and Ethan got top roping! After that I sacked up to try and onsight this amazing 5.11 crack to the right of Black and Tan. I was able to sketch my up Lord Humongous giving out some good gutterals. I thought I was for sure going to take my first lead fall but I kept sticking with it.
